About The Songs   My musical influences are folk, early rock and roll, blues and classic country. Some of my favorites include Hank Williams Sr., John Prine, Floyd Tillman, Steve Goodman, Lightnin' Hopkins and Chuck Berry.  These guys could turn a phrase. Most of my songs reflect some type of conflict, but with a little humor thrown in to keep it civil.  What usually captures my interest is the intersection of different ideas, values, interests, points of view and feelings.  I try to capture that tension in my songs. Most of the recordings are just me, my guitar and a microphone, but a few of them are recorded with full instrumental accompaniment.
